The Peace Night Brings
This is my 2020 BFA Animated Thesis, a short film about a young ballerina who gets diagnosed with cancer. Her story comes from my own experiences with illness, hospitalization, and confronting my own mortality, and I’m truly proud of how the project turned out.
Dance Dance Rebellion - Animatic
Here’s the animatic for the short film “Dance Dance Rebellion”! While I have the finished film just to the right of this video, I wanted to isolate and present the animatic on its own - since I was the storyboard supervisor and editor for this project, this is the best way for you to see exactly what I did without too much of other people’s work piled on top.
Dance Dance Rebellion
This is the final version of Dance Dance Rebellion! I was the storyboard supervisor, editor, and a storyboard artist for the whole project. Among other roles, I also provided design notes, story notes, and script ideas, some of which were utilized in the final work. Look for the ‘dancercise’ scene at ~1:41, which I was responsible for - I wrote, choreographed, boarded, animated, cleaned, and coloured that clip!
The Gates of the Garden
My one-semester Junior year short film. I put together everything but the music and the voice acting. It was originally meant to be a 2-minute-long film with the second half animated primarily in photo-collage, but I ran out of time - thankfully, I had planned for that possibility, and I wrote in a clean break halfway through the script.
